Do I need to learn HTML and CSS to use the template?

To make the template your own, you need to know the fundamentals of HTML and CSS. It is important to understand the differences between the two languages, the syntax of each language, and some common terminology to effectively use the template. We do not provide training and technical assistance with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP. However, we do provide troubleshooting advice, directions, and tips on achieving certain functionalities in the Knowledge Base.

Which template should I use?

The right template depends on your needs and personal preferences. All of our templates are customizable. Though features and designs vary, no template is built for just one business type. We offer a variety of templates you can customize to create a website that presents your style and brand to the world.

While all of our templates are adaptable to different purposes, each template has its own unique features and style. Explore each template to see how demo content shows off features and possible designs. We recommend paying more attention to the structure and style of a template than its example content. The demo content is there for inspiration, but the template’s underlying structure is what will bring your website to life.

Why am I receiving a missing CSS error?

If you are getting this error, it is because you purchased the template and tried to install it as a WordPress theme. WordPress is a free and open-source content management system based on PHP and MySQL, which allows you to build a website or blog based on its structure. Only WordPress files can be installed and managed through the WordPress admin panel. The template cannot be installed on WordPress. It is primarily designed for use on the web as a standard website.

Can I use the demo content?

The template demo content is meant for inspiration only, and you do not have a license to use any sample images or content on your live website. You will need to replace the demo content with your own images and text. There are many ways to find images online. While you may be tempted to download them from a search engine, this can result in inferior quality images and copyright infringement.

Will my purchase come with future updates?

We provide maintenance through updates or fixes that will be supplied individually or in bundles. While we attempt to provide fixes for serious issues, there may be cases where it is impractical or impossible to generate a fix due to compatibility issues or the potential for introduction of unwanted side effects. We are under no obligation to develop any future functionality.

How will I get notified of updates?

Any updates will be delivered to you or made available to you for download via Creative Market or this website. You are solely responsible for downloading, copying, and installing the updates. We are not responsible for corruption or loss of data, or any other commercial interruption related to an incorrectly applied update.

What kind of support do you offer?

The best way to get help is to search for answers in the Knowledge Base. If you need additional assistance, you can go to our Support Platform to submit a ticket. We will not respond to any support requests left in the comment sections of Creative Market or social media. Any technical support will be provided in our sole discretion without any guarantee or warranty of any kind. In the course of providing support, we may determine that an issue is beyond the scope of our Support Policy.

How long do you offer support?

We offer technical support for 1 year from the date of purchase. If your support period has expired or if we determine that the issue is beyond the scope of our Support Policy, we can no longer offer support. However, we may be able to offer you help on a fee basis, or we can only provide very basic guidance.

Can I use the template for multiple websites?

The template is limited to a single end product. If you wish to use the template for another website, you need to purchase a separate license. Any unauthorized use of the template, outside of the scope of the applicable license, will constitute or result in infringement of our intellectual property rights as well as a breach of our Product License.

Do I own the rights to the modified template?

The template is licensed, not sold, and that the right to use and modify it, is acquired only under our Product License. We retain ownership of the template itself, or any portion thereof, which remain in any modification, and reserve all rights not expressly granted to you. You own all rights only in the modification itself.

What is technical SEO?

SEO is a marketing discipline focused on growing visibility in organic search engine results. It includes both the technical and creative elements required to improve rankings, drive traffic, and increase awareness in search engines. There are many aspects to SEO, from the words on your page to the way other sites link to you on the web. To learn more, please refer to Moz’s SEO guide. In this case, technical SEO just refers to any SEO work that is done aside from the content. This aspect of SEO is focused on how well search engine spiders can crawl your site and index your content.

Robots Tag

The robots tag lets you utilize a page-specific approach to controlling how a page should be indexed by search engines and served to users in search results.

Our templates do not come with the robots tag pre-loaded/written, but this can easily be added. For further details, please refer to Google’s specifications and Yoast’s guide.

The robots tag is discovered only when a URL is crawled. If a page is disallowed from crawling through the robots.txt file, then any information about indexing or serving directives will not be found and will therefore be ignored.

The robots.txt file allows you to control how website crawlers crawl and index publicly accessible websites. It is used to manage what pages, folders, subdomains, or other content search engines will be allowed to crawl. We have not included the robots.txt file with our templates but this can easily be added at your discretion. To learn more, please refer to Google’s specifications and Yoast’s guide.

Please note that using the robots.txt file to hide your entire website is definitely not recommended. Do not block anything in your robots.txt file unless it is for a very specific reason.
